Robert J. GallRobert J. Gall is an Athens native. He primarily practices in the areas of trust and estate planning, probate, small business planning, and commercial law. He also represents public entities. Gall graduated with honors from Miami University, and obtained his law degree from the College of William and Mary. He was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and of the Order of Barristers. Gall is admitted to practice before the courts of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Since 1995, Gall has served as Special Counsel of the Ohio Attorney General to Ohio University. Gall is a member and past president of the Athens
County Bar Association. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association,
which he serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Section on
Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Law. Gall is a Fellow of the American
College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and Gall is a member and past Chair of the board of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce, and serves on its Economic Development Council. He is also a member and Vice-Chair of the Athens County Port Authority.
Gall is a member of the Ohio University College of the board of the Ohio University Institute for Local Government and Rural Development (ILGARD), and the advisory board of the Ohio University Innovation Center. He is a former member and past Chair of the Sheltering Arms Hospital Foundation, which owns and operates O'Bleness Memorial Hospital. He served as a member and past board Chair of the Dairy Barn Southeastern Ohio Cultural Arts Center. He spent nine years as a member of the Green and White Club, which he served as President. Gall has also served on Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine Advisory Board, the Ohio University Intercollegiate Athletics Advisory Board, and was Vice-Chair of Ohio University's Providing Athletes with Scholarships (PAWS). He served as General Campaign Chair of the United Way of Athens County. He chaired the Athens Mayor's Special Task Force on Subdivision Regulations, and served as a member of the Mayor's "Blue Ribbon" Task Force On City Finance. Gall is a member of the Athens Rotary Club and the Athens Symposiarchs. He and his family attend Restoration Christian Fellowship. |
