Steven T. Sloan

Steven T. Sloan has been a member of the firm since 1973. He concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation, probate, estate planning, and business.

Sloan graduated from Albion College, and obtained his law degree from Case Western Reserve University.

He is admitted to practice before all Ohio courts. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Sloan is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and serves on its Negligence Law Committee. He is past president of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys. He also is a member and past president of the Athens County Bar Association. Sloan is a fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI).

Sloan served for thirteen years on the Athens County Children Services Board, including ten years as chairman, and is a member and past president of the Athens Rotary Club. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and has in recent years served as chair of the Pastor-Parish and Finance Committees and Administrative Council. Sloan served on the High Point Retirement Center Board and is a past president of the Athens Athletic Boosters. He serves as a member of the board of Habitat for Humanity in Athens County.
